There's a specific consumer being targeted, and I don't think I'm it.

FlexiSpot’s XL6 Classic Power Lift Recliner definitely caters to a specific consumer. While it is a very comfortable chair with plenty of cushioning and support, which is exactly what I want from an office or living room recliner, its primary functions aren’t really necessary in my household. At least, maybe not for a few years, when something therapeutic and assistive will aid my ailing bones.
The horizontal recline is a fantastic feature all around, but I can’t imagine anyone wanting to use it on a frequent enough basis unless they absolutely had to.

This is where FlexiSpots starts to whittle down its audience. With its (painstakingly slow) sit-to-stand function, the chair is more geared toward:
Seniors
Surgical patients
Users with medical conditions
The XL6 also comes with built-in massage and personalized heating. While the heating is delightful and helps ease aches and pains, the eight vibrating nodes are aggressive. Even on the lowest setting, you’ll feel every inch of that massage working through your body. I found anything above the lowest setting to be a little too much, especially because the nodes are quite loud. You can target key areas, but even cutting down the number of nodes in use didn’t help with the sound.
As your everyday recliner, the XL6 is plush and cozy. It’s available:
Breathable Leather,
Performed Chenille
Normal Chenille
Normal Fabric
Genuine Leather
I have breathable leather, and it’s a high-quality material that doesn’t feel cheap. Even after months of use, the chair has retained a fairly new look, and the cushions haven’t started to give.
The chair is also available in:
Medium
Medium + Wide
Large
Extra Large varieties
For a base price of $699, you can likely find cheaper recliners. However, the power lift, massage nodes, and heating help justify the cost. If I were shopping for a new recliner, it’s probably not something I’d settle on, but the power lift alone indicates the chair isn’t made for me. Seniors and surgical patients will likely find the best value and get the most out of the XL6.
